THE RANCH

On the high plains of northeastern Colorado we have exclusive access to over six square miles of rolling hills and tall grassland. A rich habitat once populated with Manitoban Elk and American bison has been restored to its former glory. On our preserve we have a resident heard of free-range elk that live here year around. Our ranch also hosts several other species including mule deer, pronghorn antelope, ring neck pheasants, box turtles, rattlesnakes and many others!

The restoration of “McIntosh Ranch” is more than just elk and buffalo, it’s our heritage. It’s a conservation project reintroducing native grasses, wildlife species, and a sense of adventure to the rich ecosystem that is the high plains of Colorado. We want to welcome you on the experience of a lifetime traveling back in time to hunt the native elk on the high plains of Colorado.
