Yes, we guarantee that you will get a shot at what your hunting. The killing of the game is up to you. This is a hunt not a “shoot” so that will require work on your part to be successful but 100% of our clients have been so far. Our guides are experienced and we are confident that you will leave satisfied.

Is the guide always right?2024-07-03T18:43:23+00:00

No, but at the same time I wouldn’t recommend booking the hunt unless you’re willing to trust him and follow his advice anyway. (We do this for a living)

What is the best shot placement on buffalo?2024-07-03T18:45:08+00:00
It’s all about timing and letting the bull get his front leg out of the way, keeping the bullet low and forward in the chest cavity

Private vs publicly managed herds?2018-08-23T23:03:45+00:00

The resident herd of plains elk that lives on our ranch is privately managed, what does that mean for you? That means that you don’t need to apply for a license from the state because we issue them directly. It also means that the elk will be healthier and have better genetics than the state can produce.

In fact, this poor management of public herds has driven the plains elk of Colorado to near extinction.

How many acres on the ranch?2018-08-08T19:35:29+00:00

Over 5000 acres. We are proud to offer a fair chase hunt of free range animals. You won’t find any cross fencing or 1000 acres pastures here. the animals have free range of the entire preserve.

What if I wound the elk/buffalo?2024-07-03T18:52:04+00:00

If there is “any blood drawn” that animal is considered taken regardless of whether the animal is recovered or not. That being said, we will do our very best to ensure that that animal is recovered and we haven’t lost one yet.
